WARNING: VOGE OWNERS (All Models)
LIBRARY PICTURE

We are issuing a warning to Voge Owners due to a rising number of thefts of this brand in recent months across the UK. This is becoming a popular brand, and is being targeted by theives and organised crime groups for export abroad.

Be particularly aware, and LOCK your machine when left, even for the shortest or periods such as popping into a shop, cafe or even locking your garage. A mainstream disc lock is not enough on it’s own, and are often smahed off within seconds – choose a better quality such as the Abus Victory X or Granit Sledg alarmed which are both quick to deploy and impact and grinder resistant. Carry a chain and d-lock with you and attach to a solid object, as well as bolstering your steering lock where possible when leaving for longer periods. A cover will indeed hide the type of bike, so a cover is advised. It may take a few minutes longer – but it will be quicker that walking home stressed out.

The Rounded Abus Victory x (left on image) spins, making impact, pry tool and grinder attacks much more difficult. The grinder resistant alarmed Granit (right on image) has a sensitive alarm and ideal for alerting you when you are nearby, and briefly frightening off thieves. Do not relay on just one form of defense alone. These locks are stronger in numbers and built to take attacks.

Ensure you have a ground or wall anchor at home, keep chains tight and away from the floor. Loose chains are easier to cut. Ensure garages are secure, doors are reinforced and the bike is as secure as it can be. Of course, keep tools locked up as well – you don’t want your bike nicked using your own tools! Ensure your tracker subscription is up to date, and use a quality tracker such as a BikeTrac that comes with recovery included. Whilst out on the road, practice OODA to make yourself more aware of your surroundings. Be aware at Bike Meets, tracking tags are being left on machines – just be aware, and check for devices that are sending a signal – there are various apps that will alert to Bluetooth enabled trackers nearby.

Ride safe, and if you are unfortunate to have yours taken, notify us immediately. We register bikes stolen worldwide using engine, frame and and security (datatag) codes etc, so that machines can be found, even if exported or stripped to export.
