UK BIKE THEFT AWARENESS

REPORTING A THEFT OF YOUR MOTORCYCLE

Unsure what to do? Follow the procedure below as a priority.

1. Make sure you have your V5 or Vehicle Details with you. Your FRAME number is on your V5.

2. Call 999/101 and report the Theft of a MOTORCYCLE or VEHICLE. ENSURE you are given a Crime Reference number and NOT an INCIDENT number ( these are for property theft, not motorcycles)

3.Contact your Tracker Company if you have one fitted so they can locate your Motorcycle.

4. Fill out our REPORT page. We send alerts nationwide and our site has a worldwide audience. The community will start helping to find your bike.

5. DO NOT offer rewards - DO NOT respond to scams offering to find your bike on Social Media. These are scammers after access to your bank accounts and computers.

6. Ensure your answer your phone to Police on a WITH-HELD OR UNKNOWN number. They may have found your bike and you could collect it for free.

7.RECOVERY FEES are set by Government - not Police. Police have no interest in fees, it coverrs the cost of recovering you bike to a place of safety - Standard fees are £160-£240 and £12-24 per day storage. These are recoverable from your insurer should you claim. If not, collect it quickly as you can.

8.Spreading the Word - The world is bigger than one Social Media Provider - and you want the world to know, everyone of the internet, worldwide - this is why all appeals are optimised and show up everywhere, worldwide. So your bike can be traced long after social media has forgotten. This has enabled bike to be found over 12 months after the theft! It works well.

9. SHARE AND CARE - We will send each person a copy of the appeal, share it with friends and family and ask them to share also. This raises the awareness of your theft, and the more people share, the more visible it is. We share with our network of dealers and supporters to ensure everyone is aware

PATREONS & SUPPORTERS are eligible for a variety of discounts and extra support such as recovery, discounts on products, forum membership and a personal case handler. It is through this financial support that we can continue and without it, we would not be able to reduce the theft rates as we have done before. If you feel we have been of help to you, consider buying us a coffee or offering a small donation - It will be well received and appreciated by the people that benefit, the victims of motorcycle theft.
