We were alerted of this theft by the owner. As the owner had contacted via social media, we had to ask for more information before posting the appeal. Before we had received this, we received a number of messages from members of the motorcycle community giving a location of the bike in Nuneaton and names connected to the theft.
We passed this intelligence straight over to officers in the Nuneaton & Bedworth NBT who tracked the vehicle down and recovered it. So although we had prepared an appeal is was never published. However, we would like to thank the members of the community, that contacted us. Without information such as this being given, and the proactive attitude of Nuneaton & Bedworth NBT Officers, this bike would not have been recovered so quickly. They all deserve the recognition for their actions.
As always, any information received is anonymous, we do not pass this on to anyone. This is for the safety of informants, and so that the members of the community can do what they can to clear areas of crime without fear of repercussions. These actions clean communities, they save youth from being groomed into gang or youth crime, they save lives being lost. These communities often revert back to pleasant places to live and work in time.
Nothing Changes in a Silent Room. You heard the voice of the community, and it resulted in a vehicle being recovered and an offender being caught. Keep being heard!
