The Granit Victory X-Plus 68
The Abus Granit Victory X-Plus 68, has some great credentials to come with it. The specially hardened-steel is of a rounded construction that spins all three elements of the lock, making grinding and picking very difficult indeed. In fact Youtuber, The Lock Picking Lawyer, who makes a living from cracking the most difficult of locks ever built said of this lock; ‘Better than most – Requires a great deal of skill and experience; not likely to be picked on the street’ with subscribers shocked at the time it took him so long to crack it, making it one of his most testing of locks. With rarely given accolades of ‘Masterpiece’ & ‘Gold Level’ following.
The Body of this lock is shaped so that it is troublesome for impact and grinder attacks with spinning bolt, body and lock cover all of specially hardened steel. There is a delicate balance of weight and security has to be ruthlessly optimised when touring, and many heavy chains are left behind at home. 16-22mm chains can be just too heavy, especially when touring distance with luggage space and weight battling for priority.
